Adapted Performances
Field Trip Shows
NPB’s primary goal with field trip performances is to introduce youth to live dance where they may not otherwise be given the opportunity. One performance of every full-length ballet production run is a dedicated field trip presentation.
- Reduced ticket prices: $5/student + one free chaperone per ten students
- Live verbal and sign language narration
- Shortened performance time
- Q&A with the professional artists following the performance

Park Shows
NPB’s park performances, outdoors and free to the public, are an accessible way for families to experience live dance performance, removing most any barrier that would prevent a family from attending a typical theater performance. One performance of every full-length spring ballet production run is a dedicated free and outdoor presentation. Additionally, NPB annually presents mixed repertoire concerts in late summer.
- Free and open to the public
- Accommodated performance rules: Audience members may talk and move about as needed during the performance
- Shortened performance time: Park performances run approximately one hour.
- Live verbal and sign language narration for storied performances
Sensory Friendly Shows
North Pointe Ballet is committed to bringing classical ballet to all types of families in Northeast Ohio and most especially those in the extrasensory community. One performance of every full-length ballet production run is a dedicated sensory-friendly presentation.
Recognizing that families of individuals with extrasensory and other needs often have additional financial obligations, NPB offers these families tickets at a reduced price.
Our accommodations:
- House lights remaining on during the performance
- Reduction of loud jarring sounds and strobe lighting
- Accommodated theater rules : Audience members may talk and move about during the performance
- Designated Take-A-Break Space : Sensory needs can be fulfilled while others can still enjoy the performance
