Sarah is a high school senior at Cleveland School of the Arts where she majors in dance and takes dual-credit classes through College Credit Plus at Tri-C. CSA offers numerous dance styles such as ballet, Graham technique, Horton technique, African, and jazz. She began her training at age 10 at Cleveland Modern Ballet, formerly known as Pulse Dance Studio. There, she performed various lead and group roles such as Clara and Sugar Plum Fairy in The Nutcracker as well as Alice in Alice in Wonderland. She has also enjoyed studying dance at summer intensives and master classes at Mercyhurst University, Oberlin College and Conservatory, Verb Ballets, The Movement Project, and Ballet in the City/ArtÉmotion. Sarah began dancing with North Pointe Ballet as a student and has performed with NPB in The Nutcracker (2018) and Sleeping Beauty (2019), but she has recently begun her first season with the company as a trainee. When she is not dancing, she likes singing, choreographing, shopping, and has an interest in medicine and anatomical sciences, which she hopes to pursue as a career option alongside with dance. Sarah has thoroughly enjoyed her time at NPB so far and is very excited for the upcoming performance and outreach opportunities.
