Marlee Floyd

Marlee is a founding member of North Pointe Ballet and works as the Operations Manager for the company. She found her affection for ballet when she was cast as a party girl in Baton Rouge Ballet Theatre’s production of The Nutcracker in 2002 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. After graduating Magna Cum Laude from Northwestern State University with a B.S. in Theatre, Marlee moved to Cleveland, Ohio and discovered her love of teaching dance, while continuing to train and perform in numerous stage productions. Since joining NPB, some of her performing credits include Aurora in The Sleeping Beauty; Tinkerbell in Peter Pan; the Spring Fairy in Cinderella; Big Swan in Swan Lake; and Arabian in The Nutcracker. Marlee is currently on teaching staff at Jillian Rian Dance School. In her spare time, she enjoys baking bread, exploring culturally diverse recipes, practicing crafting skills, and learning to cultivate her garden at home.
“Learning to walk sets you free. Learning to dance gives you the greatest freedom of all: to express with your whole self the person you are.”
