Marlee Roberts is a deeply rooted southern girl from Louisiana, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BA in Theatre and Dance at Northwestern State University. Her credits there include A Midsummer Night’s Dream, West Side Story, Once on This Island, Alice in Wonderland: A New Ballet, Suite for Cello, and The Four Elements. Marlee has trained since the age of 8 in a variety of styles, including ballet, jazz, tap, musical theatre, and modern. Since moving to Ohio in June of 2014, she has appeared in The Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty and Swan Lake, Mary Poppins, and NPB’s Cinderella. She has also had the pleasure of choreographing Seussical Jr., Legally Blonde, and the 2016-2017 Olmsted Performing Arts Disney Dance Team. This is Marlee’s second season with North Pointe Ballet, appearing most recently as Arabian in The Nutcracker. In her free time, Marlee enjoys baking, cooking cajun and creole dishes, singing loudly along to the car radio, and losing herself in a good book.
“Learning to walk sets you free. Learning to dance gives you the greatest freedom of all: to express with your whole self the person you are.”
